Simply Oxford University Tour
Simply Oxford – A Small Group Walking Tour
Looking for a more authentic way to explore Oxford? Join our Simply Oxford walking tour – designed for curious travellers who want more than just a crowd-following experience.
Unlike other tours that can have up to 50 people, we limit group size to just 12 guests. That means a more relaxed pace, easier interaction with your guide, and the chance to truly connect with the city. All tours are led by fully qualified guides who bring Oxford’s rich history and traditions to life.
- Tour starts at 2pm
- Available March to September on selected days (typically Monday, Wednesday & Saturday)
- Duration: 1 hour 45 minutes
- £25 per person (+ small booking fee)

Heidi was a very knowledgeable guide with an upbeat personality and good sense of humour. She customized parts of the tour based on our interests. We would have missed so many interesting things had we toured on our own. Thank you Heidi.
“A must for any visitor to Oxford”
Fun, friendly and informative, we would definitely recommend this tour.
We had a great tour with Heidi, who was very informative and knowledgeable about Oxford and make our walk both fun and interesting. Heidi made us feel as if we were walking with a knowledgeable friend, and it was a fun few hours.
We would definitely do this again.

October 2025 – Jeremy Dexter, son of Colin Dexter joined our tour and had this to say:-
I really enjoyed the tour, a great mix of history, the Oxford lifestyle, and references to the Morse world. The radio system was excellent, and everything felt like a professionally run operation.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.
Our guide, Heidi, was so knowledgeable but made her talk fun as well with lots of little anecdotes. The tour was brilliant and so enjoyable. I would recommend it to everyone. We learned so much, not only about Morse, Lewis and Endeavour but also about Oxford itself. Well worth the trip.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.
I recently took the Morse, Lewis, and Endeavour walking tour in Oxford, and it was most enjoyable.
Our guide, Rebecca, was knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about the subject matter. She made the tour both informative and fun, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and explore iconic filming locations. If you’re a fan of Morse, Lewis, or Endeavour (or just love Oxford), this tour is a must. Highly recommended!
